年末 / end of year
Probably one of the most self-explanatory Word of the Day entries yet. By the way, "matsu" is a handy little suffix that's also used when saying "end of the month" (月末 / getsumatsu). A little bonus one... 週末 / shuumatsu ... means weekend!
