Hi everyone, and welcome to Episode 96!

Going to Niseko? Visit Aimer for amazing hand-crafted plant-based treats!

While in Hokkaido this summer, I had the pleasure of finding this gem of a place about 30 km southwest of Niseko in a place called Kuromatsunai.
Finding high-quality desserts that cater to people with allergies can be tough.

But about 30 km southwest of Niseko, there’s a bakery café called Aimer that’s changing the game. Their sweets are made entirely from organic, plant-based ingredients.

Whenever possible, they source locally. There’s no dairy, eggs, wheat, white sugar, preservatives, synthetic colors, margarine, or shortening.

Snacks that everyone can eat together, regardless of whether they have allergies, vegan, gluten-free, or other dietary restrictions.

Watch the video or listen to the podcast to find out more about Aimer, an impressive bakery cafe where innovation, craft and cuisine all come together!

And don't forget, at the end of every episode there's a Word of the Day!

Nearby sightseeing: Endless fields of soba!

Many will know that Hokkaido is home to some of the countries lushest and most beautiful nature spots.

I couldn't believe how big this field of soba was!

Not too far away from Aimer, I captured this breathtaking sunset from the grounds of a local cheese factory. I actually visited for the first time in Episode 67; they have some of the most amazing camembert cheese!
