Episode Highlights
Getting to Hokkaido by Ferry
It was my first time to take the Seikan ferry from Aomori to Hakodate in Hokkaido. A beautiful journey. Highly recommended. Check out the views below 👇
You Made a What on the Ferry?!
I couldn't help myself! You all know how much I love my freshly ground coffee. On a recent trip to Niigata, I took some pre-ground drip coffee packs along, but yappari I need the good stuff!
As you can see in the below video, I took my kit with me and made a fresh coffee aboard the Hayabusa II on the way to Hakodate.
I missed my Origami dripper and Hario papers and the amazing Epeios coffee grinder, but it sure beats pre-ground drip packs ☺️
Ainu Village in Nibutani (Nibutani Kotan)
Truly an amazing experience. Get to see and experience the indigenous heritage of northern Japan at Nibutani Kotan. You'll see more about it in my YouTube video, but here are some photos from my visit.
I highly recommend visiting. A little tip: Get the combo ticket for 1,050 yen at the Nibutani Ainu Culture Museum. It includes entry to two museums and the local hot spring (onsen) which is beautiful. It even has an outdoor bath.
