終了 / completion
終了 (shūryō) means “end,” “completion,” or “termination,” depending on the context. It’s commonly seen in everything from computer prompts (アプリケーションを終了します – “The application will close”) to event announcements or business hours. Whether it’s the finish of a task or the closing of a chapter, 終了 signals that something has come to a close.
