往復 / round trip
往復 (ōfuku) means “round trip” or “back and forth.” It’s commonly used for travel, such as 往復切符 (round-trip ticket) or 往復の電車 (a round-trip train ride). Beyond transportation, it can also describe repeated exchanges—like メールの往復 (email back-and-forth). Whether it’s a journey or a conversation, 往復 captures the idea of going there and coming back again.
