電気代 / electricity bill
電気代 (denkidai) refers to the cost of electricity usage, usually billed monthly to households and businesses in Japan. It’s calculated based on how much electricity you use and the current rates set by your utility provider. With rising energy prices and seasonal usage changes, 電気代 is a common concern—especially during hot summers and cold winters when air conditioning or heating is used more frequently.
